Congratulations to our two winning teams at the Knight hike 2017!
A few tired faces at the end but everyone looked to have had a great time.
The competitors assembled at the Athenaeum building in Leasgill near Heversham on a cold wintry night with showery intervals. After a safety inspection, thirty teams of four members each moved out to their bases, scattered around Heversham, Hincaster and Milnthorpe to commence the competition at 7 pm. The teams had to navigate around as many of the the 22 bases as they could in the three and a half hours allotted.
Bases to tackle included first aid, mapping, knots, Scout quiz, law & promise, some brain teasers and fun bases.
Well done to our 4 teams they all did great, navigating round the course at night is not easy. 2 great wins in the Junior and Senior groups. Thanks to all the leaders who enabled the young people to achieve their goals.
