It’s pouring down! So we’re in the commonwealth swimming pool in edinburgh. And it’s fabulous . .
Chris has gone searching for an outdoor shop for tent proofer! For his tent.

Monday

Weather still very mixed – this am went to the Scottish Mining Museum. Very interesting. Heavy rain pm so visited Laserquest. Champion was Alex . . .

Tuesday

Sunny and warm, at last!  fabulous views over the Firth of Forth.

Grass sledging this am . . . champions are Eagles/Seagulls.
pm – Go-karts, great fun!. Still hot and sunny.

Newsflash – German Scouts have moved in alongside (girls) from Stuttgart.

Wednesday

Geocaching today – warm and sunny. A hike of approx. 12 km looking for caches. Great fun and enjoyed by all. Splendid views over Edinburgh from the Pentland Hills.
Evening – heavy rain again!

Thursday

Visited the National Museum of Flight at East Fortune. Very warm and sunny. Interesting talk and tour. Camp Olympics this evening. And the winners are

Friday

Into Edinburgh again today to the zoo. Sunny and warm. Saw the pandas and lots more .

Lunch at McDonalds. Shopping at Leith and then a brisk walk up Arthur’s Seat – what a fabulous view!
Finally a fish and chip supper. Too much

Saturday

Packed up, in between the showers!
Returned safe and sound to Morecambe after an enjoyable and action packed camp.

16th Morecambe and Heysham Scouts
